He became Olympic champion in Tokyo. In Paris, Gianmarco Tamberi did not go according to plan. Now the high jump star has become a daughter.
The 33-year-old announced this on Instagram his followers-together with a sweet snapshot. On top of that, part of a arm and the hand of a baby can be seen as she encloses two fingers from Tamberi and his wife Chiara Bontempi Tamberi. The close -up shows only the hands, but conveys a strong emotional connection and the intimacy of this special moment.
The high jump world champion from 2023 wrote: “Our miracle. Welcome to the world, Camilla Tamberi Bontempi. We give you all the love we have.” Among them congratulated numerous athletes, including Barshim, who is closely friends with the Italian.

Gianmarco Tamberi had already become emotional when the pregnancy was announced. At that time he wrote to his wife in February: “You gave me the best joy. Tamberi had to deal with kidney complaints before the games in Paris. The result: he could not defend his title and win a medal.
