No contact for ten years: Infinite Coles raps over his father – and hopes that he reports
Like the father, according to the son: Ghostface Killah’s child is a rapper himself – and in his new songs calculates with his father. Infinite Coles, the 25-year-old offspring of the WU-Tang member Ghostface Killah, released his album SweetFacekillah in December. The single of the same name as well as another single called “Dad & I” can already be heard and act from the complicated relationship with his famous father.

“Is it because of me? Am I not your case? Doesn’t my pants sit deep enough, just like your self -esteem?” He raps into “SweetFacekillah”. The piece is about the supposedly lack of support, attention and love that Ghostface Killah had shown him as a father. Infinite Coles finds clear words for his parent, but believes that he does not want to dissolve him with this song – rather it is his last desperate attempt to “achieve him”.

Father not seen for over ten years
In an interview with “Vibe”, Infinite Coles said that the album was “very positive and deals with nothing other than love. I feel no hate against my father at all”. He explained: “I love my father, I only wish we could establish a connection, understand and respect ourselves.” He hadn’t seen his father for over ten years. “I always wonder if he is doing well. I wonder if we can reconcile or have a conversation before our time has expired.” That goes through his head all the time. “In this song I pour out my last rest of the fight so that it reports,” he added.
From insults to self -assertion
Infinite Coles is a Queerer MC from New Jersey. The SweetFacekillah album will be released on December 5, produced by Zach Witness. The name of the album arises from an insult, which the rapper was heard more often on social media, referring to the well -known name of his notorious dad. “At first I was depressed, but then I thought: Wait some somehow – it sounds somehow cool. So that’s my album name now,” he told “Vibe”.
“I really want to get started with this album. I have the feeling that my time has come – something wonderful comes up to me. I have the feeling that I stand out from many other artists, especially in my community because I talk about things that nobody else talks about,” he described to the magazine.
He continued: “People just want to land a quick hit, but never tell us what is really going on in their hearts. And I have the feeling that if nobody does it, I do it.”
Other tracks on the upcoming album include “DMS”, “Shoot”, “Mama Song”, “Thanksful” and “Body Strong”.
