Four months after a burglary, GGzE reported a possible data breach to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. In the building on Boschdijk in Eindhoven where the burglary took place, there were cabinets with privacy-sensitive information.
It is not clear exactly what kind of information this concerns. It is known that the data comes from the former Autism Center of GGzE, reports Studio040.
“There are no indications that the information was viewed or taken. We also do not consider it likely that this happened, because the burglary was aimed at the emergency power supply of the building,” the statement said. GGzE.
Data stored elsewhere
Nevertheless, it was decided to report a possible data breach. In addition to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the clients involved have also been informed.
GGzE reports that the data was stored at a different location after the burglary.
