After the incident, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and Turkish clubs issued a get-well message to 22-year-old Emrecan Uzunhan, who was wearing Beşiktaş jersey, who was attacked after a traffic accident with material damage.
In the statement made by the TFF, “We have learned with sadness that Beşiktaş’s young football player Emrecan Uzunhan was attacked by a traffic cop during the record keeping process following the materially damaged traffic accident he had. We strongly condemn the attack on Emrecan Uzunhan, who was undergoing surgical treatment, and we send our best wishes to Emrecan, his family, relatives and Beşiktaş community.”
On the other hand, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Trabzonspor, Pendikspor, Istanbulspor, MKE Ankaragücü, Eyüpspor, Erzurumspor, Kasımpaşa and Antalyaspor, as well as national football player Uğurcan Çakır, conveyed his wishes to Emrecan after the incident.
