Helmond Sport has left his beloved Stadium De Braak since last week. The football club has moved to the brand new stadium ‘GS Staalwerken’, a few minutes away. This week, employees are fully engaged in the move and of course you always come across things that have to go that way.
Part of the old household effects of the Helmond club goes out. The football club auctions in collaboration with auction site VNM things that are after leaving the old stadium. “We hope to pick up something beautiful for the club,” says supporter Nick van Mierlo.
He has his own auction website. In addition to complete kitchens, things for the home and gadgets, he now also auctions stuff from his favorite club. Van Mierlo has been coming to Helmond Sport for fifteen years and he wanted to help his club. “I stepped on the club myself and they thought it was a nice initiative. It all stands for a relatively low price online, so I expect everything to go away.”
If you are interested in one of the old things from Helmond Sport, you can here make an offer. You can bid until about seven hours tonight. For example, have you always wanted ‘business’ club seats at home? That is possible, the starting price is 45 euros. And for that money you can come and collect no fewer than 75 pieces.

All things can be picked up on Saturday at Sportpark de Braak. The Helmonders will play the first game in their new stadium against MVV Maastricht on Friday. The old stadium is going down. Last Monday the Helmonders played their last game at that place, but the farewell did not go as planned. After the end of the match, two symbolic moments turned out wrong.
Cutting the logo in the artificial grass was more difficult than expected and in the end it was too heavy to lift.
