From 2023, employees at Gerry Weber will be able to decide whether they want to split their working hours over four or five days per week.

The employees of the clothing supplier from Halle in Westphalia can make this decision every week, said managing director Angelika Schindler-Obenhaus on Linkedin on Friday. It is also possible to take a sabbatical and reduce weekly working hours by up to 25 percent temporarily or permanently.

“I would like my colleagues to create the right construct for them from this ‘construction kit’,” says the Gerry Weber boss. “I am proud that we are taking this next step towards ‘New Work’ together. I would like to thank our HR team from the bottom of my heart, who put a lot of energy into getting these groundbreaking models off the ground.”
