The clothing group Gerry Weber International AG has specified its forecast for the 2022 financial year.
The company is expanding the forecast “due to the expected successful implementation of further optimization measures in ongoing business,” said Gerry Weber on Wednesday.
The fashion group based in Halle, Westphalia, expects normalized earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) in the negative single-digit million range for the 2022 financial year. In terms of sales, Gerry Weber expects an amount between 315 million euros and 340 million euros. In the last financial year, the group turnover amounted to 262.7 million euros.
At the end of May, with the announcement of the business figures for 2021, the forecast was a little more cautious. Due to the development of the corona pandemic, the difficult economic conditions and the Ukraine war, the company expected annual sales in the range of 310 to 335 million euros. But even with the adjusted forecast, the expectations are still below the original target range of 360 to 390 million euros.
