Germany’s water polo players lose World Cup test against the USA

The German water polo players suffered a small setback a few days before the World Cup in Hungary (June 17 to July 3).

The team of national coach Petar Porobic lost a test game against the Olympic sixth place USA 10:12 (3:3, 3:4, 3:2, 1:3) in Duisburg on Wednesday, but showed an appealing performance over long stretches.

At the World Championships, the selection of the German Swimming Association in the preliminary round group B in Debrecen meets the two-time title holder Croatia, the Olympic silver medalist Greece and Japan.

The German women’s team could not qualify for the tournament of the 16 best nations.
