Shortly before the semi -finals against Finland, the German team has to cope with another failure. Building actor Justus Hollatz will miss the game in Riga.

In the semi-finals of the European Championship against Finland, the German national basketball team has to do without Justus Hollatz. As the German Basketball Bund (DBB) announced on Thursday, the 24-year-old is not available for the game on Friday in Riga. Bundesliga club Bayern Munich’s playmaker injured the ankle in the quarter -finals against Slovenia.

In the 99: 91 success on Wednesday, Hollatz was kinked in the course of the game and could not continue playing. The exact severity of the injury was initially unclear, but the medical department of the DBB decided not to use it in the semi -finals. The German squad is thus reduced to ten operational players.

The selection had previously had to do without Johannes Voigtmann. The co-captain had left the team during the group phase in the Finnish tampere due to a knee injury. The 32-year-old now traveled to Riga for the upcoming K.O. round, but will only be present there away from the field. His role is limited to the support of the team from outside.
