Squad for tournament in Albania

The German Football Association has appointed the U17 national team squad for the upcoming European Championship. At the tournament from May 19 to June 1st in Albania, 21 youngster from twelve different clubs start and want to repeat the feat of 2023 when Paris Brunner and Co. won the title.

Also included with Lennart Karl, who has been in the Bundesliga squad, Moritz Göttlicher, Wisdom Mike and Yll Gashi, four players from FC Bayern-the largest block in the squad of coach Marc-Patrick Meister and assistant Shkodran Mustafi. Three talents each come from the youngsters of Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt.
There are only two players about experience in the men’s area: Center striker Alexander Staff made six games (one goal) for the second team of Eintracht Frankfurt in the regional league Südwest this season. Matteo Palma is the only talent under contract in the line -up abroad and was able to ran five minutes for Udinese Calcio in Coppa Italia. In December, the central defender was presented in the talent calendar at the transfer market.
