Germany sends ‘world’s best missile defense system’: this is how IRIS-T should protect Ukraine | Abroad

The state-of-the-art IRIS-T SLM air defense system is on its way to Ukraine. The system is one of the best in the world, but with a price tag of 140 million euros, it is also very expensive. In total, Germany will deliver four units to Ukraine, one in the coming days and another three next year. The delivery of the system comes after heavy rocket bombing of Kiev and other Ukrainian cities. Ukraine hopes to finally be able to protect its cities, military installations and infrastructure against the many Russian missile attacks with IRIS-T.
