In German retail, sales in April decreased compared to March.

Adjusted to calendar and seasonal effects such as Easter business, the revenues were 1.2 percent below the value of the previous month, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office. 1.1 percent were lost at unchanged prices (real).

With a price-adjusted decline of 0.1 percent, little change could be observed, while trading in non-food was real by 1.3 percent. Especially with textiles, shoes and leather goods, announced: according to the evaluations, rarely increased.

The situation is friendly compared to the April numbers with the same period in the previous year. During the year, sales in the entire retail trade increased by 3.4 percent. Price adjusted it was 2.3 percent more business. Internet trade was particularly strongly increased by 14.1 percent with real growth.
