After the 3: 3 against Italy, the German national team not only reached the semi -finals of the Nations League. The opponents for the World Cup qualification have now also been determined.
The German national soccer team has gained a possibly cheaper starting point on the way to the 2026 World Cup in the Nations Four of the Nations League. In the qualification group, the team of national coach Julian Nagelsmann meets Slovakia, Northern Ireland and Luxembourg.
The qualification begins for the DFB team on September 4 with an away game in Slovakia. Three days later, the first home game against Northern Ireland is coming up in Cologne.
In October we continue with the game against Luxembourg in Sinsheim (October 10) and the second leg in Northern Ireland (October 13). The end of the qualification is the encounters in November: First, the national team in Luxembourg competes (November 14) before going against Slovakia in Leipzig (November 17).
The group’s winner qualifies directly for the World Cup finals in the USA, Mexico and Canada. The group of groups has to go to the play-offs.
Before the qualification starts, the Nations League final Four is still waiting for the DFB team in June. The tournament will contest the team in Munich and Stuttgart. If Germany had not moved into the final Four, the team in the World Cup qualification against Norway and Superstar Erling Haaland as well as Israel, Estonia and Moldova should have competed.
