Germany: Kimmich’s appearance at Nagelsmann’s debut questionable

The new national soccer coach Julian Nagelsmann may have to do without Joshua Kimmich at his premiere. The midfielder from Bayern Munich, who had a cold, was missing from the final training session at the MLS club New England Revolution’s grounds in Foxborough on Friday – his appearance on Saturday (9 p.m. CEST/RTL) against the USA in Hartford/Connecticut appears questionable.

Otherwise, the national coach had his entire squad together under a bright blue sky. Then there was the bus ride to Hartford and Nagelsmann’s press conference. The duel with the USA will be followed by a second international match against Mexico on Wednesday (2 a.m./ARD) in Philadelphia/Pennsylvania on the national team’s eleven-day trip to America.
