With the Sweden defeat, the preliminary round of the Women’s European Championship ended for Germany. The conclusion of individual players is different.

Almost two weeks have passed since the European European Championship started in Switzerland. Since then, the German national team of national coach Christian Wück has qualified for the quarter -finals. After the 2-0 opening victory against Poland, the next three points for Germany in Group C (2-1) and the premature ticket for the knockout round followed in the duel with Denmark. In the third game, however, there was a tart damper. The 1: 4 against Sweden meant second place and a quarter-finals against co-favorite France (on Saturday from 9 p.m. in the live ticker at T-Online).

Until then, the tournament has delivered knowledge to the DFB women, both positive and negative. All of this was overlaid by the violation of captain Giulia Gwinn (inner band), for whom the tournament was not even over after not even at a half. But she is not the only unlucky in the German team. T-online draws a conclusion after the group phase-and presents the winners and losers.

The most positive development during the tournament undoubtedly makes Jule Brand. The future player of Olympique Lyon shot the first German goal at the European Championship against Poland – a fantastic shot with her supposedly weaker left foot in the corner. The 2-0 then presented her. Against Denmark, she contributed a template and in the game against Sweden she increased her goal account at the European Championship to two goals. In addition to her assists, Brand has become more valuable due to its reverse movement. The 22-year-old has already clarified several times in his own half and thus thwarted some chances of the opponent. The decision -making process, which was often a weakness of the talented international, has also improved.

Jule Brand whirls on the right, Klara Bühl on the left. The Munich native is still without goal participation, but her performance is still right. So far, she has inspired the spectators with a high level of activity, fast dribbling and the urge to come to the end. Most recently, player Linda Dallmann emphasized that Germany with Bühl and Brand had the most dangerous wing players in the tournament. The 24-year-old Bühl has also proven to be a leading player since the upheaval in the German team-on and off the square.

Responsibility is not just on her shoulders. Due to the violation of Giulia Gwinn, Janina Minge rose to the captain, her representation, in turn, had to be re -determined by national coach Wück. His choice was noticeable Sjoeke Nüsken. The resting pole in the German center received trust – and did justice to it. In the game against Denmark, she stepped at the penalty point and hit.

The FC Chelsea player shows a good feeling for the right passport. In an often wild German game, she knows how to radiate calm and is not too good to play a pass back to rebuild the attack. Sometimes she skilfully stages her teammates on the offensive, sometimes she calms down the German game with a pass back. Nüsken and secondary woman Elisa Sensethe team of the team to the front and back, are well coordinated and complement each other. With its overview, Sense was able to shine and initiate dangerous attacks in Germany, while Nüsken secured backwards.
