The turnout in the German parliamentary elections seemed to be higher in many places on Sunday around noon than in the previous elections in 2021. Especially in the state of Thuringia, the turnout was a lot higher than at the same time in the previous elections. Until 12.00, 44.5 percent of voters had cast their vote there, compared to 24.6 percent in 2021, the German newspaper Bild reports. All party leaders have now cast their votes.
