The market share in the second half was particularly strong: it was 25 percent for the overall audience, and the 14- to 49-year-olds were even 29.3 percent.
The club World Cup transmission at ProSieben cut off significantly weaker in parallel. The game between Borussia Dortmund and Ulsan HD achieved a market share of a maximum of six percent in the classic target group. A total of around 600,000 people followed the game.
For Sat.1 it was the strongest quota of the tournament to date. Already at the exciting quarter -finals against Italy, up to 4.32 million fans had switched on. At that time, the market share in the target group of 14 to 29 year olds was 28.2 percent.
On Saturday evening (9:00 p.m.) Sat.1 also shows the final against England. For the DFB team, it is the fourth participation in the past six U21 European championships-after the titles 2009, 2017 and 2021.
