The German snowboard duo Ramona Hofmeister and Stefan Baumeister reached the podium at the mixed team event in Bad Gastein.
The three-time overall World Cup winner from WSV Bischofswiesen and her colleague from SC Aising Pang took third place in the parallel slalom in Austria. In the small final, Hofmeister and Baumeister prevailed against Elisa Caffont and Maurizio Bormolini from Italy.
Hofmeister is having an outstanding season so far. The 27-year-old won four of the first five individual races this winter – including the women’s parallel slalom in Bad Gastein. “It has been a difficult year for me so far,” said the recently troubled builder. Now things may be going “in the right direction” again for him.
Next weekend the raceboarders will have two events in Pamporovo, Bulgaria.
