German cyclist Buchmann misses Vuelta due to urinary tract infection

German cyclist Emanuel Buchmann had to unsubscribe just before the start of the Vuelta in Utrecht due to a urinary tract infection. For example, the number 4 of the Tour de France of 2019 was again hit by bad luck, after he had already had to deal with illness and accidents in recent years. His team Bora-hansgrohe has called up Italian Matteo Fabbro as a replacement.

The 29-year-old German did not start in the Tour this year, but did start in the Tour of Italy. There he saw his teammate Jai Hindley win the final standings and he himself finished seventh. In the Vuelta a España, which starts on Friday in the Netherlands, Bora-hansgrohe will again revolve around Hindley.
