Playing in the Hamburg regional league
Sri Lanka head coach Andy Morrison has announced his 24-man squad for the upcoming first round of World Cup qualification. The Scot nominated a total of five new faces: Mohamed Hasmeer, Shenal Sandesh, Adhavan Rajamohan from Sweden and the two Germans Rahul and Barath Suresh. The pair of brothers are currently playing for sixth division club Niendorfer TSV II in the Hammonia regional league.

Rajamohan was still waiting until the end for the approval of the foreign papers; timely approval is expected. Ex-RW Erfurt player Ahmed Waseem Razeek is also nominated. Star striker Dillon De Silva missed both games due to injury.
