Gerard Joling vs hypocritical Antoinnette Scheulderman

Gerard Joling and Antoinnette Scheulderman had an uncomfortable collision with each other in Eva Jinek’s talk show. But does she actually have a right to speak?

Antoinnette Scheulderman, Rob Kemps’ ventriloquist dummy, absolutely couldn’t laugh at Gerard Joling’s jokes at Eva Jinek’s last night. The ever-politically incorrect entertainer must have thought at one point that he was sitting in front of some kind of living vinegar dispenser.

Dustpan & dustpan

Gerard’s humor is widely known to everyone: light-hearted, cheerful, often very bland and peppered with self-mockery. Many people can laugh about it, but there are also plenty of people who don’t like it.

In any case, Antoinette belongs to the latter camp and that leads to uncomfortable television. It already starts when Jinek talks about the duo Gijs Groenteman and Marcel van Roosmalen. “Duo dustpan & dustpan, don’t you think?” Gerard remarks.

‘Not very funny’

If you don’t like a comment, you can pass it by, but Antoinnette interrupted her entire story to remark with a witty, deadly serious face: “I didn’t think it was very funny.”

Gerard: “I personally do. I think that’s quite a lot of people… You don’t have to applaud right away, but quite a lot of people…”

Antoinette: “No one is laughing.”

Gerard: “I think it’s quite a dusty duo.”

Body shaming

Things only really go wrong between the two when it comes to Countess Eloise, who was punished by Angela de Jong and Jeroen Snel because she was seen on television with a bathing suit.

Gerard: “Well, I’d rather see her in a bathing suit than Angela de Jong!”

A dead silence follows at the Jinek table, except for a chuckling Jan Slagter. Gerard: “Oh, I wasn’t asked this question?”

Eva Jinek: “No, I just went to ehhh…”

Antoinnette muttering: “Body-shaming, body-shaming.”

“Shut up!”

Gerald: “Oh, sorry. I was in my own world for a while! Excuse! Antoinette, are you being nice tonight? You’re a bit distant with me, sorry.”

Antoinnette: “Yeah, but honey, you’re body-shaming. I personally am not in favor of that.”

Gerard: “Well, you have plenty of room!”

The studio is completely silent after that joke. Antoinette holds up her left hand in surprise and looks at Eva. Gerard: “Don’t you like him? I find him unique.”

Eva: “Should I do something?”

Gerard: “Body shaming, stop, please!”

Hypocritical

One thing the guests of Jinek know for sure from now on: it’s better to talk at that table with the handbrake on. The day before yesterday, Eva herself was still to blame when she called a young Eurovision candidate an ’embryo’. ‘Ageshaming’, cried Marc-Marie Huijbregts. The same Marc-Marie Huijbregts who recently accused Bastiaan Ragas of alcoholism.

And Antoinette? Isn’t that the woman who completely ridiculed the face of Hazes ex Sarah van Soelen? “Stop all that spraying in those beautiful faces, it usually doesn’t make you feel better!” she tweeted. “She looks like younger sister Connie now…”

Under that tweet from Antoinette it is still teeming with hate comments about Sarah’s appearance. And none of that is body shaming?

All in all, Jinek is starting to become quite the standard table of hypocrisy. Tip for Gerard Joling: next time just go to Today Inside.
