The coffee shop Starbucks, which has been located in the heart of Helsinki in connection with the Akateeminen bookstore since 2013, is closing its doors.
According to Yle, SSP Finland, which operates the operations of the American coffee giant in Finland, says that the lease agreement in the business premises in Kirjatalo will expire in March.
In addition to the coffee shop on Pohjoisesplanadi, there are three other Starbucks coffee shops in Finland: in the kiosk hall of Helsinki Central Station and two at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. At these locations, operations continue as normal.
-SSP operates in Finland as a Starbucks franchisee.
Starbucks started operations in Finland in 2012.
