‘Gay question Harry Mens not a slip of the tongue’

Paul de Leeuw states that the bizarre gay question that Harry Mens asked him is not slip of the tongue used to be. “He also talked about it in the preliminary interview in the morning,” said the TV star.

Harry Mens states that you often hear from the hairdresser that children of two gay people automatically become gay. He wanted to know what happened to Paul de Leeuw, who has adopted two children with his husband. To the astonishment of the presenter and the viewers at home: after all, sexual orientation is not something that is learned.

Preliminary conversation

That silly question from Harry, that’s what it was slip of the tongue? Or does he really not understand what is going on? The latter, Paul revealed last night at the talk show table Khalid & Sophie. “It was a mind-blowing conversation,” notes host Khalid Kasem.

Paul then: “I have to be honest… It’s real… I mean: it’s real, what he is, he is. He also tells us in the preliminary conversation in the morning… This starts at half past nine in the morning… He said over coffee: ‘Harry, you can’t make gay people.’ He says, “I’m going to ask anyway.” I thought that was very funny.”

Why with Harry?

In other words: Harry really had this question. Why did Paul actually choose to go to his talk show Business Class? No dog would look at that, would it? “It was really kind of a joke. A few years ago he recorded my son’s poem for Sinterklaas, because my son has a guilty pleasure and that is Business Class.”

He continues: “And then I said to my club because we have to do publicity: ‘If I’m going to do a talk show in a hotel, I just have to go to Business Class, because he’s been doing that for so long.’”
