A garbage can and some garbage bags were set on fire at the Baggelhuizerplas in Assen on Sunday evening.
It is believed that rowdy youths are the arsonists. No arrests have been made as of yet.
It is not the first time that loitering youth has caused destruction in the vicinity of the lake.
