Garage boxes on Vlaanderenlaan went up in flames in Stadskanaal. Moments later the fire brigade had to pull out for a fire on Julianastraat.
A little after an hour, the first fire was reported. Multiple garage boxes were on fire. The fire brigade managed to prevent all connected boxes from being destroyed.
More than a year ago there was also a fire at the garage boxes on Vlaanderenlaan. It is being investigated whether there is arson.
An hour after the first fire, the fire brigade had to set off again. A fire had arisen in a roadside along Julianastraat, which runs parallel to the Drents-Groningen provincial border. What exactly had caught fire is not clear, the fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire quickly.
