It is the highlight of the year for all darts fans: the world championship in London’s legendary Alexandra Palace, popularly known as “Ally Pally”. Here the grandees of darts gradually meet each other in exciting one-on-one duels, throwing dart after dart, 180 after 180, until a new world champion is crowned at the end.
The reigning champion is the Englishman Luke Littler, but the competition for the 18-year-old on the way to defending his title is fierce and another victory is by no means guaranteed.
