Galeria without Olivier van den Bosssche?

Almost a year after the restart as a result of bankruptcy and the takeover by the US investment company NRDC and an participation company of the entrepreneur Bernd Beetz, there are changes again at Galeria. Managing Director Olivier van den Bosssche was released with immediate effect. This is reported by the Manager Magazin and the textile industry, citing an internal letter.

For the manager, who led the fortunes of the Kaufhof department store chain at the time between 2014 and 2017, it would be the second departure from a large German department store group. In 2022, van Den Bosche came to Galeria as head of sales, before he was chosen as the successor to Managing Director Miguel Müllenbach, who switched to the management of the parent company Signa Retail in the course of the insolvency proceedings. At that time, the designated managing director was called Galeria sales chief and former Kaufhof CEO like no other for restarting the protective shield.

The successor to the outgoing managing director has already been found internally. In the future, the group is to be managed by Chief Operating Officer Tilo Hellenbock together with Chief Financial Officer Christian Sailer.
