20 years, football gave me the opportunity to have a dream. The journey, which began with a ball and a dream, has become an adventure full of learning, sacrifices and unforgettable moments.
From my first match to play in the world’s iconic stadiums, every step was a test, every decline is a lesson and every goal was a source of joy not only for me, but also for everyone who was with me.
I had the chance to share the same locker room with the big players, and I became a part of the teams that teach the true meaning of being a team. I won cups with River Plate in Argentina, I had unforgettable nights with Porto in Europe, I proudly left the field with Atlético Madrid jersey and took part in the rise of Monaco. I had the opportunity to play in historical clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Galatasaray, and each of them added valuable experiences. I found a family in and out of the field in Rayo Vallecano, and today I still get the same passion from football by wearing the uniform of my childhood in Millonarios.
I had the biggest honor with the Colombia National Team: to represent my country in a World Cup. I felt the support of millions of colombies who are with me in every goal, every victory and every difficulty I have scored with Tricolor jersey.
When I look back today, I don’t just see cups or statistics. I see the labor of many people, the devotion of my teammates, the unconditional support of my family and the love of the fans. None of this would be possible without them.
I am grateful to God, who gives me every opportunity, to my family, and everyone who is a part of this journey. Football gave me everything, and now life has given me the joy of returning to my childhood dream. Wearing the Millonarios jersey means that this journey, which starts with the dream of childhood, is literally completed. I will continue to give everything with the same passion.
