Second President Metin Öztürk stated that Metin Oktay is a symbol that adds value not only to Galatasaray but also to Turkish football and made the following statement:
“Metin Oktay is the Uncrowned King of not only Galatasaray but also Turkish football. He has always set an example with his gentlemanliness and gentlemanliness. As you can imagine, when he was transferred to Palermo in 1961, his parents named all Galatasaray fans born that year, like me. I carry this name with honor. He was transferred to Galatasaray in 1955. He was the top scorer many times until 1969, but he became a symbol of Turkish sports with his gentlemanship rather than top scorer.
