On the 36th matchday of the Süper Lig, the 25th championship of record champion Galatasaray is determined. The club from Istanbul won its home game against KaySerispor 3-0 four days after the success in the Turkish trophy and is no longer to be displaced from first place by arch -rival Fenerbahce. The second Istanbul top club won 2-1 against Eyüpspor, but has eight points behind in two even games.
A double strike by Gala-Top striker Victor Osimhen in the 26th minute and Barış Alper Yılmaz in the 29th minute sealed the game outcome in Istanbul in the first half. Shortly before the end, goalkeeper Fernando Muslera was allowed to transform a penalty after foul to Álvaro Morata to 3: 0. It was his second goal in the 550th game for Galatasaray after the Uruguayer 2011/12 also sank a penalty on the last match day.
Napoli loan Osimhen scored his 25th seasonor, the Nigerian also waves the goal scorer crown in Turkey. He had previously won this on a club basis during the success in the Italian championship with the SSC 2022/23.
