Galatasaray actually did it: Victor Osimhen changes to the Turkish champion again last year after the loan from SSC Naples and is now being committed. In order to be able to manage this transfer, which was very enthusiastic about the fans last year, a high financial risk is necessary and the costs are to be collected in different ways.
According to the official IPO of Galatasaray, 75 million euros that are paid in installments are due as a transfer. 40 million euros will flow to Italy this summer, in two rates the remaining 35 million euros are due. In addition, there is a resale clause for Naples of 10 percent of the future profit. The previous record purchase of the Süper Lig will be outbid to three times. Osimhen receives an annual salary of 15 million euros net per season plus 5 million euros for the image rights and a loyalty bonus of one million euros. The contract is valid until 2029.
As in the previous year, Galatasaray is dependent on the help of sponsors when financing the transfer, which is why the negotiations lasted for a long time. Even with the announcement of the transfer, the efforts to generate money are not yet complete. Cimbom currently has around 300 million euros in debt and is aware that they will increase through the Osimhen transfer. Part of this is to be taken back through jersey sales, and more external sponsors are being sought who want to also earn on the figurehead of the Süper Lig.
On the transfer market, Gala’s view now also goes towards the transfer revenue. Players like Barış Alper Yılmaz (25), Victor Nelsson (26) or the Derrick Köhn (26), awarded to Werder Bremen last year, are to be sold and further purchases are to be replaced with replacement. So far, only the transfer -free transfer from Leroy Sané (29) has been handled, Ismail Jakobs (25) and Przemyslaw Frankowski (30) were loaned with obligation to buy last year and are therefore also listed in the balance sheets this season.
