Galatasaray Ekmas Basketball Team lost 88-77 to Greece’s PAOK team in the first match of the Champions League Group G.
In the match that started with mutual baskets, Galatasaray was effective with Ekmas, Martin and Sadık Emir Kabaca, while the Greek representative responded with Harrison, Fridriksson and McNeace and passed the first period 30-19.
Starting the second period with a 9-0 run, Galatasaray Ekmas reduced the difference to 2 points (28-30) in the 13th minute. PAOK, which put its emphasis on the game with baskets from outside shots, went to the locker room ahead 52-42 with Gilmore’s contribution under the basket.
Galatasaray Ekmas, who started the second half of the match with a tough defense, also showed an effective performance in attack and reduced the difference to points (54-57) in the 24th minute. However, PAOK regained control against the yellow-red team, which could no longer maintain this rhythm, and entered the last period ahead 71-59.
PAOK started the last period with a 7-0 run against Galatasaray Ekmas, which broke away from game discipline, and increased the difference to 19 points (59-78) in the 34th minute. The Greek team did not allow Galatasaray Ekmas to make a comeback by playing controlled in the remaining time, and won the match 88-77.
