Galatasaray have confirmed the upcoming transfers of Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombélé and Davinson Sánchez. On Monday evening, the Turkish champions announced that negotiations with Spurs had officially started. The finalization of the deal is – as is usual in Turkey with this status – only a formality. This increases the already most valuable squad in the Süper Lig from 215 million to 252 million euros.
With Galatasaray, Tottenham has found a buyer for record purchase Ndombélé for the third time in a row, who switched from Olympique Lyon to Tottenham for 62 million euros in 2019 and is still one of the six most expensive central midfielders in football history.
There is another loan in the room after he was last active at SSC Napoli and ex-club Olympique Lyon. Ndombélé, whose contract in North London runs until 2025, was only a permanent member of the Premier League in the 2020/21 season and has reduced its market value from EUR 65 million to currently EUR 22 million – only Tetê is in the Galatasaray squad valued higher.

Sánchez, on the other hand, is likely to make a permanent move to Galatasaray. The Colombian, unlike Ndombélé, has played for Spurs this season but has not played in the last three league games. The defender joined Tottenham from Ajax in 2017 for €42m and has since made 207 appearances (5 goals/1 assist). According to reports, a total package of transfer fee and bonuses between 10 million and 15 million euros is due for him.
