Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe were referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) due to the ugly and bad chants caused by their fans in the second week group matches of the Ziraat Turkish Cup. On the other hand, it was announced that Gaziantep FK Coach Burak Yılmaz was referred to the board due to his unsportsmanlike actions, insults and threats.
Referrals to the Board are as follows:
“1- In accordance with Article 52 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction due to “field events” in the FETHİYESPOR-GALATASARAY A.Ş. Ziraat Turkey Cup competition played by FETHİYESPOR Club on 13.01.2026, in accordance with Article 49 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction due to “not leaving the stairwells empty”, in accordance with Article 49 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction due to “irregular attendance of spectators”. In accordance with Article 49 and due to his “acting against the instructions”, it was decided to refer him to PFDK in accordance with Article 46 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction and Article 117 of the Stadium Security Committee Instruction – Stadium Classification Sub-Details.
2- GALATASARAY A.Ş. Club’s FETHİYESPOR-GALATASARAY A.Ş. match played on 13.01.2026. Due to his “ugly and bad cheering” in the Ziraat Turkish Cup competition, it was decided to refer him to PFDK in accordance with Article 53 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction.
3- GAZİANTEP FOOTBALL CLUB INC. technical manager BURAK YILMAZ has been placed under caution as of 14.01.2026 in accordance with the 36th article of the Football Disciplinary Instruction due to his “unsportsmanlike actions” in the GAZİANTEP FOOTBALL KULÜBÜ A.Ş.-KOCAELİSPOR Ziraat Turkey Cup competition played on 13.01.2026 and in accordance with the 41st article of the Football Disciplinary Instruction due to his “insult and threat”. to be referred to PFDK as
GAZİANTEP FOOTBALL CLUB A.Ş. It has been decided to refer football player TAYYİP TALHA SANUÇ to PFDK as a precautionary measure as of 14.01.2026, in accordance with Article 43 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction, due to his “illegal behavior” in the same competition.
4- FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. Club’s BEYOĞLU YENİ ÇARŞI SPOR ACTIVITIES A.Ş.-FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. match played on 14.01.2026. Due to his “ugly and bad cheering” in the Ziraat Turkish Cup competition, it was decided to refer him to PFDK in accordance with Article 53 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction.
5- It has been decided to refer METİN DİYADİN, technical officer of GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ Club, to the PFDK as a precautionary measure as of 15.01.2026, in accordance with Article 36 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction, due to his “unsportsmanlike behavior” in the HESAP.COM ANTALYASPOR-GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ Ziraat Turkey Cup competition played on 14.01.2026.
6- ALİAĞA FOOTBALL A.Ş. Club football player MUSTAFA SAYMAK participated in the ALİAĞA FOOTBOL A.Ş.-SAMSUNSPOR A.Ş. match played on 14.01.2026. Due to his “illegal behavior” in the Ziraat Turkish Cup competition, it was decided to refer him to PFDK as a precautionary measure, as of 15.01.2026, in accordance with Article 43 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction.
7- İSTANBULSPOR A.Ş. Club football player FAHRİ KEREM AY participated in the İSTANBULSPOR A.Ş.-TRABZONSPOR A.Ş. match played on 14.01.2026. “Due to his “illegal behavior” in the Ziraat Turkish Cup competition, it has been decided that he will be referred to the PFDK as a precautionary measure, as of 15.01.2026, in accordance with Article 43 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction.”
