Lionel Messi led Inter Miami to the quarterfinals of the MLS playoffs.

The Argentine scored the first two goals in the 4-0 (2-0) in the third and decisive game of the first round series against Nashville SC and was involved in Tadeo Allende’s two goals after the break.

Messi gave Miami an early lead after a solo (10th) and followed up shortly before half-time from almost the same position (39th). In the second half, Allende decided the game with his two goals (73′, 76′).

Miami is in the playoff quarter-finals for the first time in the club’s young history and will face Cincinnati FC in two weeks. Last year, the team around eight-time world footballer Messi surprisingly failed in the first playoff round as winners of the main round.
