Fynn Schenten is staying with us for the long term 1. FC Cologne. According to information from the online newspaper “GEISSBLOG”, the young storm talent signed his first professional contract with the Billy Goats on Thursday and has committed to FC until 2030. The youngster had just made his debut in the Bundesliga at the beginning of the year and has made three appearances since then.
The homegrown youth contract would have expired on June 30, 2026. Schenten has been playing for FC since he was eight years old and became German champions with the U19s last season. In the Youth League this season, the attacker played a decisive role in reaching the round of 16 with five goals and four assists.

1. FC Köln will once again have to do without Jahmai Simpson-Pusey and Joel Schmied in the home game against VfL Wolfsburg. The central defender duo thought they had a chance of being back in the squad against the Wolves. But head coach Lukas Kwasniok confirmed the duo’s absence on Wednesday.
In return, Kwasniok has promised an offensive player who has recently been on the rise a place in the starting eleven: “We hope that Linton Maina can maintain his good phase for as long as possible because he can cause problems for any opponent with his liveliness and speed,” said Kwasniok. “It will definitely start again on Friday evening.”
This means that the Billy Goats’ matchday squad against Wolfsburg should not change compared to the last game in Freiburg. Only Florian Kainz, who was not taken into account, could be back in the squad if Kwasniok had to react at short notice.

1. FC Köln has given Imad Rondic another loan. The 26-year-old was most recently on loan at Polish first division club Rakow Czestochowa. Since the striker was recently sorted out there, the billy goats ended the loan early. Instead, Rondic has now joined Preußen Münster – also on loan.
“We very much regret that the loan to Poland did not go as well as everyone involved had hoped,” said sports director Thomas Kessler. “With the move, Imad will have the chance to get regular playing time and take on responsibility on the pitch. We hope that he can have a positive influence on the team with his performances and do his part in achieving Münster’s sporting goals.”
