The current contract of the TV reporter at the streaming service expires. Now it is clear where the 36-year-old will be seen in the coming years.
The future of Laura Wontorra on football television has been clarified. The reporter and moderator extends her contract at the streaming service DAZN at least two years to 2027. This reported the “Bild” on Tuesday evening.
Born in Bremen, the Bremen native will continue to be used in the football highlights. These include games of the Champions League, the Bundesliga playing games on Sunday-and from the coming season the Bundesliga conference on Saturday, which had secured DAZN. This takes on a prominent role in one of the central DAZN formats.
A personal connection brings her: Her father Jörg moderated the first Bundesliga conference for Premiere World-today Sky. Now Wontorra steps into his footsteps and will shape the new flagship format at DAZN. She has been part of the permanent team in the platform since 2021, and in future she will regularly perform with expert Sami Khedira.
DAZN program chief Michael Bracher is happy about the extension: Wontorra is one of the most famous faces on German television, says Bracher. “She is one of the best-known TV faces in Germany, brings outstanding expertise and moderation skills that she demonstrates at DAZN week after week. We look forward to many other gripping football moments with Laura on the sidelines!”
In an interview with “Sport Bild”, Wontorra gives her reasons for the contract extension: “The most important thing is that I just enjoy working together.” With the new Saturday conference, “a really great job for me is added.” In addition, experts Michael Ballack and Khedira had also played a role in the broadcaster. “That was also an important point for my decision -making.”
