Oleksandr Usyk unpacked the hammer. The Ukrainian crowned himself again against challenger Daniel Dubois to the undisputed world champion. Ex-champion Tyson Fury positions itself with pithy words.
He remains the undisputedly heavyweight king. With a demonstration of power and a hard left, Oleksandr Usyk sent his opponent Daniel Dubois on the boards in the Wembley Stadium. Thanks to the hammer in the 5th round, Usyk won the most important belts of the world associations.
Many wondered: Will his former opponent Tyson Fury be in the stadium? Apparently the Brit was not present. Instead, he turned to the fans and Usyk shortly after the fight via social media.
Clear announcement by Fury to Usyk
“A great praise to Oleksandr Usyk. He showed a fantastic performance against Daniel Dubois tonight,” Fury began while jogging through the night.
“You came to see a good fight. So, congratulations on both men. But Oleksandr Usyk knows that there is a man who can beat him. I have already made it twice and the world knows. I was betrayed.”
Last year Usyk and Fury fought a giant battle twice. The Ukrainian won both times on points. Even if Fury does not want to admit it, the experts agree that Usyk rightly won.
After the last fight, Fury announced his resignation, but always flirted with a return. In the meantime it is clear: he really wants to go against the world champion who has dethroned him.
Fury: Only one can beat usyk
The fight was apparently an extra motivation for the 36-year-old who unpacked the running shoes.
“I took it like a man. Here I am, not at some boxing match. I’m outside on the street and run. I run tonight. I came home. I did my job and got myself back. I am the man. I am the Spartan,” he explained.
“And no matter what someone wants to say, I won these fights. Guaranteed. To 100 percent.”
Then the announcement: “There is only one man! Get up!” Fury chose the words as a heading for the video: “@usykaa congratulations. There is only one man who can beat you again and this is a Gypsy King. Tyson Fury has made it twice, no matter what politics says!”
A response from USYK is still pending.
