Urban campsite is open from 7 to 13 Aprilin the days of the Week design, at the “Enrico Cappelli” sports center in Milanosport SSD SPA Spa Piazza Caduti del Lavoro, 5. To use a place in the campsite Design students between 18 and 30 years old they must register by March 31, 2025 by filling out the registration form on the IED website.
At their disposal they will have curtains, inflatable mattresses and good company. But also the possibility of participating in the Designing Togettherness. A schedule of events aimed at camping users but very open to the public.
By a proposal by the Francesco Morelli Foundation, owner of the IED group, provides Workshops, sports and wellness activities, moments of conviviality and cultural encounters. In addition to moments of live performance and fun in the late afternoon band.

On Tuesday 8 April there will be, for example, the workshop Collective bakery rite. Curated by third landscape and Madreproject, a school of bread and places with Davide Longoni will be an opportunity to explore how much bread is a polysemic subject that allows you to open conversations on food, on ecology, on social justice and how we intend to co-opt the earth.
Thursday 10 April will be held Beyond Competition: Playing for Connection. An alternative sport workshop held by Gabriel Fontana to experiment how to shift attention from competition to social connection and solidarity.
Finally, on Saturday 12 April there will be the workshop Atelier Upcycling by Ferrino In collaboration with Mental Athletic on Repair and Upcycle: to design and create new objects starting from old worn camping curtains.

Still, by the Superhero Training Center, the Extreme Writing Laboratory will be held on Wednesday 9 April. A writing ring during which, in three rounds, the members of two teams will compete in tests of literary improvisation referring to the world of design.

IED students worked on the activity program but also to Design of the common areas of the urban campsitewith the support of Ikea experts and with particular attention to the use of second-hand furnishings.
A large table is the representative element of the preparation. It will be the place of the meeting, conversation, laboratory activities and conviviality. The intention is to recreate the atmosphere of the past: when, that is, in the popular neighborhoods people met in the courtyards of the buildings, or in the squares, setting up the space with personal furnishing elements and thus bringing the domestic dimension to a shared space.
