“If my hair were to fall out, I wanted to decide when.” What is for many a painful moment during a cancer journey, Inge Slock from Zottegem, East Flanders, turned it into a day full of warmth, humor and solidarity. The mother of four, together with her family and friends, organized a symbolic ‘funeral of her hair’ just after her first heavy chemotherapy. “Cancer is dark enough. We can also laugh.”
