Almost immediately after his death, friends started a fundraiser for the funeral, because, say initiators Maarten den Oudsten, Mart Biemans and Sharif Hamed: “Luca deserves the most beautiful farewell there is.” They set a target of 30,000 euros. And that goal is already in sight within 24 hours. At the time of writing, the counter at almost 22,000 euros thanks to more than 800 donations. But it’s really not about the money.
