Engagement in Venice: A Dreamy Proposal
“We were on a road trip in Italy, going from Lake Garda to Venice,” Otto Steiner explained. “On Natalia’s birthday, after raising a toast to her, I got down on one knee on the balcony overlooking the Grand Canal in my bathrobe.”
Natalia shared, “I always thought you would cry tears of joy at such moments. But we ended up laughing uncontrollably and celebrating together!” Otto added, “We share the same values such as compassion, loyalty, honesty, and civic courage. Most importantly, we share a sense of humor. We laugh a lot together.”
A Wedding Full of Surprises
Their wedding day, however, was fraught with challenges, including pouring rain. “It felt almost as if someone was trying to stop us,” Avelon recounted. The day before, she suffered a burn while steaming tablecloths, requiring six hours in the emergency room due to a third-degree burn. Despite feeling euphoric on her wedding day, the adrenaline made her unaware of her injuries.
Otto also faced his own mishap, having to visit an orthopedist the day before their nuptials after straining his back while lifting. “We were both a bit battered when we faced the mayor of Oberhaching for the ceremony,” he remarked. Nevertheless, they described the day as “a very joyful and spirited occasion.”
Congratulatory Messages Flow In
Natalia shared the post about the interview featuring their wedding outfit, drawing numerous congratulatory messages from their famous peers on Instagram. Katy Karrenbauer wrote, “Wishing you much happiness,” while Michaela Schaffrath also sent her love, and Magdalena Brzeska simply commented “Gratulacje” with heart emojis. Thomas Anders conveyed, “Warm congratulations from Claudia and me!”
