Have you already blocked 31 August to 4 September in your calendar? If not: act quickly! Because then Shopping Center Oosterheem celebrates its tenth anniversary. Of plenty of activities every day is fun for young and old and performances by well-known artists. These are the highlights of the program.
Wednesday: baking competition and free coffee
The week immediately starts festive for young and old. For children there are, for example, a children’s treasure hunt and a bouncy castle spectacle. Heel Oosterheem Bakt is highly recommended for young bakers. They can then present their homemade cakes or pastries in the shopping center. A jury will judge the goodies and the winner will receive an Intertoys gift card. You can register here.
The festive week also starts nicely for the older youth. From 9 a.m. to noon, the mall treats everyone aged 65 and over to free coffee and pastries.
Thursday: music and talent show
On Thursday afternoon you can enjoy performances by the Karrewiets and Bombastikka. These musical acts move through the shopping center.
During Oosterheem Muzikaal you can admire talented artists from Zoetermeer. A jury will reward the three best with a performance as support act for Samantha Steenwijk on Friday evening. Are you an artist and do you want to participate in this cool competition? Then sign up quickly.

Friday: start fair and stage program
A festive week is not complete without a fair! It opens Friday at 12 noon. You can easily earn a free ride for this. If you make a purchase in the Oosterheem Shopping Center, you can exchange the voucher at the fair for a free coin, which you can use for every attraction. Extra rides only cost one euro per person and the proceeds of the fair go to a good cause.
In addition, the podium program starts on Friday. The main act of this first evening is immediately a stunner: Samantha Steenwijk. It is certainly not boring around her performance, thanks to various DJs and the winners of Thursday’s talent show.
Saturday: mystery guest
You can also get your feet off the floor on Saturdays. Various bands and DJs come to party. In addition, there will be a mystery guest, whose performance you don’t want to miss. Tip of the veil: this Dutch artist had a huge summer hit in 2021 that you are sure to hear.
Earlier in the day there is also enough to do, from a children’s program to a neighborhood barbecue. You can already save for the latter by shopping in the Oosterheem Shopping Center.
Sunday: festive closing
On Sundays you can stroll along all kinds of stalls during the fair. Although, calm? You may be surprised by flash mobs: funny, hilarious performances by a theater group that can appear out of nowhere.
At the end of the afternoon there will be a festive closing with none other than the well-known singer Emma Heesters. The icing on the cake of five days of fun!
