FT – Elon Musk’s AI company wants to raise $6 billion

Bangalore (Reuters) – According to a newspaper report, Elon Musk’s AI company xAI wants to raise up to six billion dollars from investors for the further development of ChatGPT rival “Grok”.

xAI is aiming for a company valuation of $20 billion, the “Financial Times” wrote on Friday. To this end, billionaire Musk, who, among other things, owns the short message service X, formerly known as Twitter, approached potential donors in Japan and South Korea. Musk could not immediately be reached for comment. Last month, the company stated a funding target of $1 billion in a mandatory announcement.
