Silvan Widmer will be absent from Bundesliga club FSV Mainz 05 in the coming weeks.
According to a club announcement from Monday, the captain suffered a capsule and ligament injury in his left ankle on Sunday during the defeat at VfL Wolfsburg (0:3).
Whether this means the premature end of the season for him remains open.
