FSB announced the arrest of a Russian suspected of working for the SBU

FSB officers detained a Russian in Crimea who allegedly worked for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the press service of the FSB for Crimea and Sevastopol said in a statement.

“It has been established that a man born in 1971 served in the Donetsk People’s Republic, recently lived in the Republic of Crimea and maintained contacts with SBU officers on an ongoing basis,” the report says.

According to the FSB, he was detained in March while trying to travel to Ukraine “in order to arrange contacts that could harm Russia’s security.” The intelligence service clarified that now there is a check on the involvement of the detainee in the commission of crimes under Art. 275 and 276 of the Criminal Code (“high treason” and “espionage”).
