From tropical dance party to mini-blues festival: this is the Zoetermeerse weekend agenda (30 May-1 June)

Some have a nice long weekend off by Ascension Day, for others the weekend starts on Friday evening. Of course we don’t celebrate that by staying at home. No, we’re going on the road! Indebuurt tips some nice Zoetermeerse outings for the weekend from 30 May to 1 June.

Konpa & Ritmo Kombina evening

On Saturday 31 May, Le Club BBQ will turn into a tropical dance party during the Konpa & Ritmo Kombina evening of Exotic Events. DJ Fiber and DJ Richystylez run from 10 p.m. to 4.00 am and tickets Costs 15 euros. Only the question remains: what do you attract to this party? You decide it all by yourself, as long as those legs can be seen. The dress code Is shorts, and preferably for the women, but that is not mandatory.

Aqua-Scape Event

Lovers of aquaria and underwater landscapes can go to Intratuin Zoetermeer on Saturday 31 May for the Aqua-Scape Event. Give experienced experiences between 12 a.m. and 4 p.m. scapers explain about aquascaping and fishing, help you bind water plants to wood and give tips about suitable plants for you aquascape. Participating is free and giving up is not necessary.

Children’s activity at Hof van Seghwaert

On Sunday afternoon, June 1, the children’s play afternoon in Hof van Seghwaert is all about butterflies. Children from three to eight years old can enjoy a free program with a butterfly story from the VoorleesExpress, a creative craft activity and a butterfly treasure hunt through the orchard.

Tour of the Driemanspolder

The Tour of the Driemanspolder is an annual walking tour in the Nieuwe Driemanspolder in Zoetermeer. This year the fourth edition will take place on Sunday 1 June, walking through the Nieuwe Driemanspolder nature reserve. With the barrel, money is raised for the Maja Anjohuis. This is a local charity that offers (former) cancer patients help. You can choose between distances 3, 6, 10 and 15 kilometers. The starting point of the performance run is Camping De Drie Morgen. Mini Blues Festival

Blues lovers are welcome on Friday 30 May at Café Rico’s Hovestein. From 4 p.m. you are welcome for live music from Zoetermeer artists. That afternoon and evening the café works with consumption coins. Get a nice drink at the bar and enjoy the blues On the outdoor stage.

Festival De Zoete Inval

Sunday 1 June from 2 p.m. it is bursting with music, dance and creativity during the De Zoete Inval festival at Poppodium Boerderij. More than 150 Zoetermeerse artists fill the halls, the stage café and the outdoor stage with performances by pop, rock, classic, big band and circus acts. Children dance in the Silent Disco or participate in workshops and jam sessions. Tickets cost 10 euros and you get them here.
