Ready-to-wear fashion in 2022 has brought a resurgence of the men’s suit. After a longer period of loungewear and casual dressing, pant suits, shirts and ties are making a comeback on the catwalks – they are back in fashion. People are increasingly demanding cross-seasonal designs, which has led to the rise of brightly colored pant suits that can be worn all year round.
A seasonal trend
Alexander McQueen has sported a specific silhouette for both S/S22 and F/W 22/23: a brightly colored, broad-shouldered blazer and matching straight-leg trousers. The suit was shown in bright pink for spring and lime and kelly green for fall.
The Resort ’22 collections
The Resort 22 collections were also full of bright suits. Christopher John Roberts showed off a single-breasted jacket and straight-leg trousers in bright green and orange.
Dsquared2 featured a red suit with a single-breasted jacket and cuffed cut-off pants.
Versace showed three button jackets and matching pants in orange and lime green.
