From ‘Sneekie’ to Dutch legend: Sherida Spitse brought Lionesses much more than prizes and goals

After twenty years in Orange, Sherida Spitse (35) will put on the orange shirt for the 248th and last time on Tuesday evening. Her international career will forever be linked to the rise of women’s football in the Netherlands. She led the Lionesses to the European Championship title in 2017, but her legacy is much bigger than that.
