From online blog to boulevard – Highsnobiety opens its first store in Berlin

The time has finally come – after the Berlin streetwear platform Highsnobiety announced the opening of one last year own stores in the German capital has announced, the very first Highsnobiety store will soon be opening its doors.

The streetwear expert posted a video on Instagram that shows the new flagship store on Berlin’s Unter den Linden mile and dates the store opening to March 1st. Max Berger, Highsnobiety’s Chief Commercial Officer, also announced the reopening on his LinkedIn page.

Highsnobiety was founded in 2005 as an online blog by David Fischer in Berlin. Today, in addition to its headquarters in Berlin, the global media platform also has locations in New York, London, Amsterdam and four other cities. In 2021, Highsnobiety got a whiff of one Pop-up store in Zurich Airport the first time in retail air, followed by another last year Pop-up store in New York.

The long-announced store opening of the media and fashion company, which belongs to the online giant Zalando, follows Expansion of the own brand ‘HS05’ and the Strengthening the e-commerce sector.

In an interview with FashionUnited emphasized Highsnobiety founder David Fischer the print and online magazine’s plans to strengthen the company’s other business areas as early as 2021: “The Highsnobiety brand has been around for 16 years and the e-commerce area for two and a half, which is still super fresh. Accordingly, our company’s main revenue still comes from our core business, which is a combination of publishing, media and publishing marketing. Over the next few years, however, the emphasis will be on these two business areas [Publisher und Händler] be divided.”
